Love this new Basecamp feature & this thinking through it. We work on domain specific workflows a lot, and this simple "Approve It" button is the sort of thing we're always working towards.
Pain pill or vitamin is a question you sometimes ask about a product. Here's an updated list of common tech pain points in search of pills. Or, better yet, starting points to narrow and refine into a real problem statement.
Trying to get that Spotify end-of-year look with CSS blend modes? Check out SVG filter effects. A little more intense than using a pre-packaged CSS blend, but who doesn't love RGBA per-channel manipulation?? Una Kravats talks feColorMatrix specifics.
Free things are fun! Here's a free UI kit from the people at InVision. Their new kit, Chat, has 60 templates, 12 categories, and 80 UI elements. It's available for Sketch (yay!) and Photoshop (boo!)

Heads up, Node nerds. If you have Node.js projects out in the wild, there's a lot you need to know this month. Major OpenSSL vulnerabilities mean that you may require upgrades. Thomas shares some insight into how Executive Advising works (and why startup advising is broken).
Lovingly curated for you by the dehydrated folks at Revelry, who have recovered quite well, thank you very much, from Mardi Gras.
p.s. Want to see some of the fun? Check out this photobooth we hacked together to meet some of the lovely folks walking by the office on their way to the parade.
